List Of Phones That Will Not Be Able To Use WhatsApp In 2021
WhatsApp takes pride in its unique features such as the end-to-end encryption, one-time media sending and so on, giving its users the unique platform to chat with friends and loved ones. Recently, WhatsApp shared the list of devices that will not be able to support the WhatsApp messaging app starting November 1, 2021. These phones would be Android phones running on Android 4.0.3 or lower or Apple iPhones running the IOS 9 or older. So basically, this will only affect you if you are using a very old Android or Apple smartphone.
Some old Android phones can actually run on Android 4.1 Jelly bean, an Operating System that was released in 2011. You should check if your device can be upgraded to this version of Android if you are using an old device running Android 4.0.3. You can do this by going to 'Settings > About Phone' on your phone to see your current Android version and check if there are possible updates for your device. For Apple iPhone users, WhatsApp will only run on IOS 10 devices or higher.
